Caitlin de la Cruz is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She obtained a B.S. in Psychology and Sociology at Carroll University in Waukesha, WI and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology at Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. Prior to her work in private practice, Caitlin has also trained in community mental health and hospital-based care for three years.

Throughout her work at CDCW she has developed a specialty in treating millennial issues such as failure-to-launch, planning for the future, fear of the unknown, living in accordance with values, dealing with past traumas, and identity formation. She places high value on being able to assist clients in finding inner strength and self-validation.

Caitlin treats depressive, anxiety and mood related disorders using an eclectic approach of CBT and DBT. This allows Caitlin to work with her clients to understand what patterns need to be changed, and what emotions can learn to be tolerated.

Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, she has the ability to understand the whole person and the system in which they live rather than focusing on symptomatology, leading to life-long change instead of short-term relief.
