Our clinicians have specialized training and years of experience providing individualized assessments for clients ranging from infancy to geriatrics. CDCW offers highly specialized psychological, educational, and neuropsychological testing evaluations. Our evaluations are intended to provide a structured, organized, and succinct description of current psychological functioning including cognitive abilities and emotional state. Psychological evaluations offer insight as to the severity of a particular disturbance and the capacity of adequate functioning. A formal psychological evaluation may be used to confirm or modify the impressions formed by referring therapists, physicians, or educators. A comprehensive evaluation can identify needs in therapy, highlight issues that may come up in treatment, recommend particular forms of intervention, and offer guidance about potential outcomes of treatment. Psychological reports include specific treatment recommendations. Our experienced clinicians have completed hundreds of such evaluations.

We have a variety of standardized diagnostic tools available including, but not limited to, projective measures, rating scales and measures of cognitive functioning and academic abilities. In addition to psychometric measures, detailed interviews provide a holistic view of an individual’s past and current functioning. The following issues can be effectively clarified through formal assessment:

  • Academic Achievement
  • Developmental Disorders
  • Adaptive Behavior
  • Eating Disorders
  • ADD/ADHD/Attention Difficulties
  • Emotional Dysregulation
  • Anxiety
Executive Functioning (e.g., planning, problem solving, etc.)
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Memory Issues
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
  • Cognitive Functioning
  • Processing Disorders
  • Depression
  • Any many more
ADHD Evaluations

CDCW has also developed a dynamic battery of measures designed to assess Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder in children, adolescents, and adults. Although the battery is specialized, it also incorporates measures to detect other problem areas or those in need of additional investigation.

Neuropsychological Evaluations

When neurological complications (i.e., memory, attention, planning, dementia, organization, etc.) are suspected, neuropsychological assessment can be provided. Clinicians at CDCW have specialized training to conduct these highly specialized evaluations with individuals of all ages, including geriatric populations
