Free Parenting Psychoeducation Group – Topic Anxiety

Are you a parent of a child ages 2-12 diagnosed with or showing symptoms of an anxiety disorder? If so, we invite you to register for our free 10-week parenting support group. This program aims to equip you with practical skills and psychoeducation to effectively address your child’s anxiety. The group will utilize the SPACE treatment (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions), a new and effective therapeutic approach that teaches parents how to respond effectively to their child’s anxiety. In SPACE treatment, parents learn to make two key changes: responding more supportively to their anxious child and decreasing the accommodations they’ve been providing for the child’s symptoms.

Facilitated by Caitlin de la Cruz, LCPC, and Linda Osei, Clinical Mental Health Master’s Level Therapy Intern, this parenting support group will begin on March 7, 2024, from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm weekly. For further information, please contact Caitlin de la Cruz, LCPC at (815) 404-6980
