Group Therapy at CDCW

Group therapy is a specialized and highly effective form of treatment. In fact, for certain concerns, it is considered the most beneficial therapeutic modality. Despite its proven effectiveness, group therapy is often underutilized—primarily because of limited availability in many clinical settings.
At the Center for Developmental and Clinical Wellness (CDCW), we are deeply committed to the transformative power of group psychotherapy. We believe that healing often occurs when individuals connect with peers, share experiences, and receive support in a safe, professionally guided environment. Our experienced group clinicians create structured, empathetic spaces where meaningful growth and insight can take place.

Therapeutic Group Offerings

CDCW offers a diverse array of therapeutic groups designed to meet the unique needs of children, adolescents, and adults. Through the group experience, participants can develop important life and interpersonal skills, enhance self-awareness, and build lasting social connections.

Our group therapy programs address a wide range of topics, including:

  • Anger Management
  • Self-Esteem and Confidence Building
  • Bullying Prevention and Resilience
  • Support for Siblings of Individuals with Special Needs
  • Coping and Emotional Regulation Skills
  • Social Skills Development
  • Girls Empowerment Groups
  • Parent Support Groups
  • …and many more

Each group is facilitated by skilled clinicians trained in evidence-based group therapy techniques. Groups typically run for 8 weeks, though new members may be welcomed on a rolling basis depending on the structure of the specific group.

Enrollment Process

To ensure the best possible group experience, an initial screening or interview may be scheduled prior to admission. This allows us to assess individual goals, group readiness, and compatibility with the intended group dynamic.
We invite you to inquire about our current and upcoming groups. For more information or to explore whether group therapy may be a good fit for you or your child, please contact our office directly.
