About
The Counseling and Diagnostic Center of Woodfield, Ltd. (CDCW)
Established in 1998, The Counseling and Diagnostic Center of Woodfield, Ltd. (CDCW) is an outpatient psychotherapy practice dedicated to improving the behavioral health and social-emotional well-being of individuals and families.
At the heart of CDCW is an expert team of dedicated and compassionate clinicians. Our staff includes psychologists, nurse practitioners, social workers, and other licensed professionals who bring deep clinical knowledge and specialized training to their work. With extensive experience across the lifespan—including with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults—our providers deliver personalized care tailored to each client’s needs.
We offer evidence-based interventions for those seeking brief support as well as individuals with complex or high-acuity needs. Many clients we serve are at risk of hospitalization or transitioning from a higher level of care. Our goal is to provide comprehensive, individualized treatment that promotes lasting stability and helps reduce the need for more restrictive services, such as inpatient hospitalization.
Our Services Include:
- Individual, family, and group psychotherapy
- Medication management
- Comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological assessments
CDCW is recognized for its specialized psychological testing services, which support accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning. Our clinicians are credentialed with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, serve as consultants to area hospitals, and are eligible Medicare providers.
We emphasize a collaborative approach to care, working closely with primary care physicians, psychiatrists, school personnel, and other mental health professionals. Our clinicians also offer continued therapeutic support and diagnostic services for clients whose medications are managed by their physicians.
As part of our ongoing commitment to clinical excellence and professional development, CDCW proudly serves as a training site for doctoral-level students in clinical psychology, mentoring the next generation of mental health professionals.
