Anthony Hughes, MS, LCPC

Anthony Hughes is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with extensive experience providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults. He began his academic career at John A. Logan College before earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC), where he focused on psychotic and personality disorders. He went on to complete a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling at SIUC, with an emphasis on both mental health and the medical aspects of care.

Anthony provides a wide range of clinical services, including individual counseling, family and couples therapy, group therapy, and addictions counseling. He specializes in the treatment of depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, substance use challenges and co-occurring mental health and medical conditions. His approach is collaborative, person-centered, and evidence-based, integrating practical strategies to help clients strengthen resilience, improve relationships, and better manage emotional distress.

He works with individuals across the lifespan, beginning at age 10 through adulthood, and has extensive experience supporting clients through diverse developmental stages and cultural backgrounds. In addition to his clinical focus on addictions and co-occurring disorders, Anthony has developed expertise in helping families navigate relational challenges, emotional regulation, and significant life transitions.

Anthony believes that meaningful change begins with being seen, heard, and understood. He is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, gain deeper self-awareness, and work toward positive transformation. He considers it an honor to support individuals and families as they build more connected, authentic, and empowered lives.
