Laura Monti, Ph.D., Psy.D.

Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Laura Monti, Ph.D., Psy.D., is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience in psychological assessment and therapy across the lifespan. She earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, and also holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Cognitive Psychology from Loyola University Chicago. Dr. Monti completed her undergraduate studies with a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Arizona. Her academic achievements include receiving the prestigious National Research Service Award from the National Institute on Aging.

Dr. Monti’s early research centered on memory function in both healthy older adults and individuals with Alzheimer’s disease. Her scholarly work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national conferences. She has served as a co-investigator on federally funded studies through the National Institutes of Health, the National Institute on Aging, and the Alzheimer’s Association. Her dual training in cognitive and clinical psychology enables her to bring scientific understanding into compassionate, person-centered care.

She provides therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults in individual, family, and group settings. In addition, Dr. Monti conducts comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological assessments to support diagnostic clarity and treatment planning. Her clinical expertise includes treating mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, eating disorders, self-injury, and cognitive decline. Her internship training emphasized the treatment of self-injury and eating disorders, areas in which she continues to specialize.

Alongside her clinical work at the Counseling and Diagnostic Center of Woodfield (CDCW), Dr. Monti is Allied Staff at a Behavioral Health Hospital. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and remains actively involved in continuing education and professional development.
